Gyalwa Karmapa granted refuge vows and the empowerment of Chenrezi to about 1000 people in Paris on juin 28, 2004. The transmission was introduced by a presentation of buddhism by Jean Pierre Schnetzler, president of the FFCBK (Fédération Française des Centres Bouddhiste Karma-Kagyu)
